Streamers can start monetizing their passion on Twitch through its Affiliate program. Twitch Affiliates can start offering subscriptions at either $4.99, $9.99, or $24.99. They also receive additional benefits. Those who excel as an Affiliate can earn Twitch Partner status which, in addition to channel subscriptions, allows streamers to earn a portion of revenue generated from ads shown on their channel. Partners can even select the frequency and length of ads on their Twitch dashboard.

Twitch Partners also receive additional special features, such as custom chat badges, custom emoticons, a verified user badge, and extended video-on-demand storage. Moreover, they receive priority support from Twitch and have access to promotional opportunities, including meet and greets, partner panels, and partner spotlights.

Prospective Twitch Partners must create content that adheres to Twitch’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and DMCA Guidelines. They also have to complete the Path to Partner achievement, which includes streaming for at least 25 hours on 12 different days in a select month while averaging at least 75 viewers.
